separator This rack is designed for installation in a wooden shed. I rate 4 of 5 for wooden sheds, 2 of 5 for metal sheds, like mine, because it is difficult to install, and can support very little weight without stressing the metal shed walls.

Metal shed installation requires two people because the screws that fasten it to the wall have to be installed from the outside. Very awkward and slow. Because it is fastened to the very thin sheet metal wall, the wall bends inward when anything weighing more than 2-3 pounds is placed on the rack.

The orange protective covers that go over the sharp-edged prongs (a pair for each tool hanger) fit well over most of the prongs, but not on the larger ones. I forced them on, but they only go on to about 50% of the intended depth.

After installing this one, I made my own. I installed a piece of 2x4 between the vertical ribs that the sheet metal walls fastens to, using two large bolts and nuts on each side. Then I installed a $10 Blue Hawk multi-tool hanger to the 2x4.

This hanger is probably fine for a wooden shed, but severely overpriced considering that you can get all the materials you need to hang the same number of tools for less than $15 at a home improvement store ($20-$22 if you need to buy a 2x4), and spend the same amount of time installing it.
