We recently purchased the Lifetime 10 x 8 garden shed (#60005). As many other reviewers have indicated, the instructions leave a LOT to be desired. We received two, pretty thick booklets of instructions. Somewhat similar to Ikea: very few words, mostly illustrations and when there are words, they're in Chinese. This job will take you ALL DAY with two competent, cooperative adults. It may even be best to plan on a 2-day job, depending on the weather.

Familiarize yourself with the instructions in advance. DO NOT think you're going to just walk outside, open the booklets, and get to work. There are a million pieces, sometimes coded with multiple reference numbers, so take your time and identify all of the hardware before you do anything. To make your life easier, assemble the big pieces first (the metal roof frame, the doors, etc.) This will be bigger help than you can possibly imagine.

Also, this point cannot be stressed enough: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL YOUR SHED ON A LEVEL SURFACE. We had a concrete pad installed before the shed arrived. You can make one yourself, but unless you're REALLY competent with DIY construction, it's worth your while to pay for a pro to make (or at least help you to make) the platform.

Overall, we're quite happy with the shed. Last night was the first rain since we assembled it, and everything checked out perfectly. The one thing I would recommend to Lifetime is more accessories (bigger hooks and racks for large tools); the available accessory selection is quite sparse. Other manufacturers of resin sheds (like Rubbermaid) have a range of shed-specific accessories.

One more thing: Lifetime has at least two 10x8 sheds. (The 10x8 has the doors on the long side). The prices are about the same, but for some reason, the 60005 comes with 2 long shelves, 2 corner shelves, and a tool corral. The 60095 has doors with windows which we liked a bit better, but when we purchased our shed the 60095 didn't come with any accessories. Other than the doors, they're identical.
