We chose this playset because of its low maintenance and durability. The play set is beautiful (we bought "earthtones" color) and very sturdy. It's already providing great entertainment for our 9 grandchildren when they visit. We have had the play set up and running for two weeks, and the active lil' hooligans haven't made a dent in it yet. This equipment should last until these kids are so old they're not interested in playing on it--many more years from now.

ShedsForLess was the best deal we could find, considering no sales tax, no shipping fee, and a very competitive price. The shipping process was well-coordinated. It was a freight shipment with ABFS, who contacted us when the shipment headed out in order to set up a delivery time. They stayed in contact and were responsive when I called them back to ask a question. When the shipment arrived at our house, it was a huge wooden crate that required the driver and my husband to offload. The truck had a pallet jack and the two men were both experienced at unloading big trucks, so that helped.

My husband and our very mechanically-competent adult sons prepared carefully for the playset assembly process, and two adults worked on it for 3 evenings after work. They used a heavy-duty dolly to roll the boxes from the crate to the backyard. The boxes were carefully opened, and everything was accounted for per the Owner's Manual instructions. They read each section and studied the diagrams before proceeding with the assembly steps. During the assembly process, they did go buy a hexagon adapter for a power drill. Other than that, the Handy Dan's had all they needed in their regular collection of tools.

The assembly took 10 total hours, and that was more time than it should have taken. The fasteners were user-UNfriendly, which made the work tedious. The instructions about the Wall-side Deck Support (the two vertical poles) were the trickiest (Sections 2.1-2.6, pages 27-31) because of some ambiguity in the instructions, leaving the guys to do "best guesses." The guys had to do a lot of rework to get those Section steps done correctly. It was frustrating, especially since undoing some screws and bolts required working blind inside the poles. If the two vertical poles' holes had been color-coded, it would have reduced the 10 hours it took to assemble the playset to about 8 hours.

All the time spent and frustration incurred on those verticle poles proved worth it when 4 grandkids immediately hopped on and took their new playset for a spin. Grandma and Grandad had to try it out, too!
